Siena Men's Soccer Head Coach Graciano Brito announced the addition of graduate transfer Alex Bourgeois to the Saints' roster ahead of the start of the 2022 season. The defender joins the Saints following a successful undergraduate career at the University at Albany.

"Having Alex on our team will provide us with even more depth on our back line and more valuable experience," Brito said. "We're excited to have him join our team for the upcoming season."

A product of Hastings, New York, Bourgeois spent four years with the Great Danes from 2018-21, competing in 44 total matches with 28 starts. He tallied a goal during both his sophomore and senior seasons, and added an assist during his junior year, while playing over 2,400 minutes.

Prior to his collegiate playing days, Bourgeois was a 2017 High School All-American at Hastings High School, and also earned two All-State and three All-League honors while leading his team to a pair of Sectional Championships.

Siena is set to begin its 2022 season on Thursday, August 25 at Sacred Heart at 7 PM. Bourgeois becomes the seventh newcomer to join the Saints' roster heading into the new year.
