HAMPDEN, MA – Siena Men's Golf established itself at the front of the 13-team pack to begin action at the UConn Invitational at GREATHORSE in Hampden, Massachusetts on Sunday.
Through one round of action in the 54-hole event, the Saints shot a team round of 290 to hold a two-stroke lead over Boston College, MAAC foe Iona, and host Connecticut.
Freshman
Michael McConie continued a solid start to his collegiate career to tie for the top spot with a round of -2, 70 after day one. Fifth year's
Nolan Crowley (71) and
Matthew Ferrari (72) each finished inside the individual top-ten as well in ties for fourth and ninth, respectively.

Dan Brooks shot +5, 77 to tie for 41
st, while sophomore
Austin Giroux carded 81 to tie for 68
