Men’s Golf Battles to Continue UConn Invitational at GREATHORSE

Saints Tied for Second After 36 Holes

HAMPDEN, MA – Siena Men's Golf dropped into a tie for second to continue action at the UConn Invitational at GREATHORSE in Hampden, Massachusetts on Monday.

Through 36 holes of action, the Saints are tied with Boston College for second with +14, 590 (290-300), and now trail host Connecticut (584) by six strokes.

Despite shooting ten strokes back from Sunday's opening round, the Green and Gold still enter the round with three athletes inside the individual top-ten. Fifth year Matthew Ferrari (72-74-146), fifth year Nolan Crowley (71-75-146), and freshman Michael McConie (70-76-146) each find themselves tied for sixth place. Sophomore Austin Giroux (81-75-156) and junior Dan Brooks (77-79-156) are both tied for 54th, while individual Nick Lyons (79-83-162) is split for 70th.

The Saints will conclude three-day action on Tuesday, October 3 beginning at 8:30 AM.
