Siena Women's Tennis had their physical and mental strength tested, but came away with a 4-3 hotly contested win at Lehigh on Saturday at the Lewis Tennis Courts.
Five of the eight matches either entered into a tiebreaker or 10-point super tiebreaker as the Saints (4-6) won the doubles flight #3 on a tiebreak behind
Emma Boggiali and
Laia Giralt to secure the doubles point.
Junior
Alexa Wilson rallied back to defeat Junmoke James 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8) at the #2 singles spot. Senior
Maanya Viswanath also came back after dropping the opening set to win in a 10-point super tiebreaker.
De Faber-Schumacher won her match by default as Lehigh did not have a player to run.
Reegan Mullaney was split 5-5 with Helena Cilella before retiring from her match.
Next up, Siena finishes out the Pennsylvania road swing with a visit to Temple on Sunday at 4 p.m.
