LOUDONVILLE, NY – Redshirt sophomore
Jordan Bentley has earned back-to-back MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after another dominant week of play in leading the Saints Women's Lacrosse team to a pair of conference victories.
The midfielder tallied a team-high nine goals and 18 draw controls in a 2-0 week for Siena.
Bentley scored four goals and had 12 draw controls in a 18-15 win against Quinnipiac this past Wednesday and followed up that performance with five goals and six draw controls in a 9-8 road win at Manhattan this past Saturday to help put the Saints in sole possession of first place in the MAAC standings.
She was also 4-for-4 on free position shot attempts.
It marks the second time that Bentley was named the MAAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and the team's eighth weekly award of the 2023 season joining
Sabrina Krasner (three-time winner),
Mary Soures,
Rebecca Gilhooley and
Grace Dobrzynski as other winners.
Bentley has scored in 15 consecutive games dating back to the second game of the season against Pittsburgh.
The Queensbury, NY native has nine multi-goal games including six hat tricks and five straight hat tricks overall.
The product of Queensbury High School has ascended to second on the team in goals scored with 34 and ranks fourth in points with 39.
Bentley also leads the team in draw controls with 58 (fourth in the MAAC) and free position goals with 10.
Bentley has greatly improved her shot efficiency as well, rising from a .346 shot percentage in 2022 to .493 this season as well as a jump from a .603 shot on goal percentage in 2022 to .754 thus far this season.
Next up, Siena (11-5, 6-1 MAAC) travels to take on MAAC opponent Niagara (9-6, 3-3 MAAC) on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. scheduled draw time at Niagara Field.
