LOUDONVILLE, NY – Twenty-seven Siena Indoor Track student athletes have been named to the MAAC All-Academic Team ahead of the running of the 2024 MAAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Siena's men's program tallied 15 selections, while the women posted 12 honorees.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at Siena and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Overall, 126 male and 166 female for a total of 192 athletes comprised the 2024 MAAC Indoor Track All-Academic Team.
Men's fifth year student athletes
Tommy Anderson and
Matthew Laframboise made the team for the fourth time in their collegiate careers, while seniors
Christopher DeForest,
Ben Guerin,
Killian McNamee, and
Jimmy Smith were selected for the third time. Juniors
Jackson Cayward,
Collin Clinton,
Noah Greski, and
Nathaniel Sletten made the MAAC All-Academic Team for the second time, while junior
Patrick Fiorillo and sophomores
Jayson Chichelli,
PJ Dauer,
Tyler Greene, and
Brody Santagata were selected for the first time.
On the women's side, seniors
Miranda Gilbert, Katharine Hesler, and
Isabella Painter made the team for the second time. Juniors
Julia Caputo,
Keira Flaherty,
Claire Gardner, and
Christina Peppy were selected for the second time, while sophomores
Kate DeForest,
Izzy McNamee,
Mattingly O'Rourke,
Chloe Poulos, and
Julianna Tourangeau were honored for the first time.
Siena is set to compete at the 2024 MAAC Indoor Track Championships at the Nike Armory Track & Field Center in New York City on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25. Â
