LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Water Polo has continued to consistently put forth top performances on both sides of the ball this season. The program took home multiple MAAC weekly awards for the second straight week, with freshman
Catherine Williamson earning both MAAC Offensive Player of the Week and MAAC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Grahamstown, South Africa native recorded 15 goals, 11 steals, ten exclusions drawn, two field blocks, two assists, and one sprint win in five matches last weekend in California. This included seven goals in a win over CSU Monterey Bay and a hat trick against Pomona-Pitzer.
The reigning MAAC Offensive Player of the Week brought her total on the season to three weekly awards and the team's total to five, along with goalkeeper
Maggie Frye, who was named the MAAC Co-Defensive Player and Co-Rookie of the Week last week. Five weekly awards already matches the program's most in a single season since 2017.
Siena enters MAAC play March 16-17 with matches against La Salle, Villanova, and Wagner scheduled in Lexington, Virginia.
