Box Score VILLANOVA, PA – Siena Water Polo led early, but could not hold on against a nationally-ranked MAAC foe. The Saints ultimately dropped a 17-10 decision to #21 LIU at the Villanova Swim Complex in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
The Green and Gold netted the first two goals of the game and held a 5-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter thanks to early goals from freshman
Catherine Williamson, freshman
Rebecca Currie, sophomore
Samantha Varrie, and senior
Sydney Arnold.
The Sharks fired back with seven of the next eight goals in the second quarter to take hold of a lead they would not lose. Siena netted three of five goals in the third quarter, but LIU closed out the match with six of the final seven scores.
