LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – After beginning the weekend with a pair of individual MAAC Champions, Siena Outdoor Track rounded out the 2024 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with solid team performances and accolades to reflect them.
The Saints wrapped weekend action at the Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex in Lawrenceville, New Jersey with a pair of fifth place team finishes, matching both programs' best outdoor finishes and the first time both teams have finished fifth in the same meet.
The conclusion of the weekend also brought the program's first-ever outdoor track major award winner, with freshman
Collin Brown named the 2024 MAAC Male Track Rookie of the Meet after placing second in Saturday's men's 3,000-meter steeplechase and fourth in Sunday's men's 5,000-meter race.
 Sunday's action featured four podium finishes for the Green and Gold, with two coming in 800 and two more in the 4x800 relay. Junior
Keira Flaherty (2:12.92) finished second in the women's 800, while fifth year
Matthew Laframboise (1:53.61) took third on the men's side. The group of sophomore

Jennifer McClintock, and Flaherty placed second in the women's 4x800 relay (9:17.29), while the team of senior

Madeleine Hesler scored with a fourth-place finish in the women's 1,500 (4:39.22), while senior
Killian McNamee took sixth on the men's side (3:54.89). The women's 800 also saw DeAngelis (2:17.34) and O'Rourke (2:24.24) score on the women's side in fourth and eighth, respectively. Freshman
Faith Skowvron scored with a seventh-place finish in the women's 5,000 (18:07.97), while Brown (14:44.41) and senior
Ryan Shanahan (14:50.44) did so on the men's side in fourth and eighth, respectively.
The women's 4x400 relay saw sophomore

Christina Peppy take tenth place (4:27.38), while the men's team of sophomore

Miranda Gilbert took tenth in the women's 4x100 relay (59.98), while the group of Homa, senior
Patrick Fiorillo, Dauer, and Thomas placed seventh on the men's side (50.13).
Following a successful weekend performance, Siena will head to the 2024 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Fairfax, Virginia May 11 & 12.
