LOUDONVILLE, NY – New Siena Men's Basketball Head Coach Gerry McNamara has announced his fifth official addition and second freshman to the 2024-25 roster. Tajae Jones, a 6-8, 205-pound forward from Waterbury, Connecticut has signed and returned his National Letter of Intent and will enroll at Siena College this coming fall.
 
"Tajae is a talent," said McNamara. "He can impact the game on both ends of the floor with his size and physicality. Tajae has long-term elite defensive potential from guarding multiple positions, and can shoot the three at the other end. I'm very excited to add him, and I think he has a bright future."
 
Jones matriculates to Siena after spending this past season at Long Island Lutheran in New York, where he earned HoopHall All-Showcase Second Team honors and was also named one of the Top-14 private school players on the Island by Prep Hoops.
 
Jones previously competed for Notre Dame-West Haven in his native Connecticut, which he helped lead to back-to-back undefeated regular season and tournament marks while earning 2022-23 Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-State acclaim.
 
Jones played his AAU basketball for the PSA Cardinals on the Nike EYBL circuit.
