LOUDONVILLE, NY - After tying the single-match program assist record and producing the first goal in the team's comeback draw with Rider, junior Lucas Almeida of Siena Men's Soccer was voted the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week.
 
The West Hartford, CT, native tied a Siena single-match record with four assists in the team's 4-0 win over Canisius on Oct. 1. In assisting on each goal of the match, he also set a new MAAC single-match high for the 2025 season. Additionally, the junior scored the Saints' first goal against Rider on Oct. 4 to spark a second-half comeback in a 3-3 draw. Almeida produced a league-high six points over two matches this past week. 
 
Almeida and the Saints return to the pitch at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, to host Sacred Heart.
