Men’s Soccer Draws Seton Hall in NCAA First Round

Saints Set for Program’s First NCAA Tournament Appearance

LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Men's Soccer is dancing. The Saints are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history and will open their run against the Seton Hall Pirates at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, NJ.

The winner will get No. 11 seed Bryant (16-2-2) in the second round at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, in Smithfield, RI.

Siena (9-5-4) qualified for the first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history following the program's first-ever Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship, which came after a 2-1 victory over top-seeded Sacred Heart on Nov. 16. The Saints have won four straight matches and are unbeaten in 12 of their last 13 (8-1-4).

The Pirates went 7-3-7 overall this season and 3-1-4 in the BIG EAST, good enough for 13 points and a fourth-place finish in the conference standings. Seton Hall enters the field as an at-large team for the 14th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and the first since 2022.

This will be the first-ever meeting between Siena and Seton Hall as Division I opponents. The teams met each year from 1948-50 before Siena had a varsity program, with Seton Hall winning all three matchups.
