Six Men’s Soccer Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Svensson Named a CSC Academic All-America® Finalist

LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Men's Soccer had six players named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday. Christian Amaral, Mark Cajamarca, Lee Mara, Mario Navarro Perez, Eric Svensson, and Tomislav Vrdoljak earned honors for their exceptional athletic and academic achievements.
 
The senior Svensson has also been selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025.
 
To be eligible, a player must have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better and have competed in at least 90% of the team's total games played or have started at least 66% of the team's total games played. In 2024-25, less than five percent of student-athletes earned this prestigious honor across all sports and divisions.
 
Svensson has also been selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025. Svensson earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in his career as a psychology major with a 3.52 GPA. He played in 19 matches, making 18 starts, recording career highs in points (6) and assists (4) as a defender.
 
Svensson's classmate Amaral also earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in his career. Amaral, a finance major, boasts a 3.98 GPA and appeared in all 19 matches for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Saints.
 
Juniors Mara and Navarro Perez appeared on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second time in their careers. Mara, a business major with a 3.51 GPA, appeared in all 19 matches, making 18 starts. Navarro Perez, a business major with a 3.67 GPA, played in 17 matches this season. 
 
Sophomores Cajamarca and Vrdoljak each appeared on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time. Cajamarca is exploring business as a major and boasts a 3.60 GPA. He appeared and started in all 19 matches this year. Vrdoljak is majoring in applied electrical physics and boasts a 3.97 GPA. He appeared in all 19 matches this season, making two starts. 
 
Additionally, all six honored on the CSC Academic All-District Team were previously named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
