LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Men's Soccer standout
Lucas Almeida reeled in another accolade to cap off an impressive first season as a Saint, as the junior was named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Second Team, as announced by the ECAC Friday.
Almeida is the second-ever Saint to be named All-ECAC and is the second in as many years to accomplish the feat.
In just one season with the Saints, Almeida already etched his name into the program record book. The West Hartford, CT, native's 25 points tied for the fifth most in a single season while also becoming the first Saint to reach 20 since 2019. Moreover, Almeida's 10 goals tied for the sixth most in a single season in program history, and he became the first Saint to reach double-digit tallies since 2012 and just the seventh to ever do so. He also tied a single-match program record with four assists at Canisius on Oct. 1, a mark that also served as a single-match MAAC high for the year.
A crucial piece to Siena's first-ever Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) title and NCAA Tournament appearance, Almeida previously earned All-MAAC First Team acclaim and was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week three times.
