Siena Men's Golf shot +6, 294 for the second consecutive day at the Loyola Intercollegiate to move up one spot to 15th ahead of Tuesday's third and final day from Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, AZ. Siena's total two-day score entering the final 18 holes is +12, 588.
Austin Giroux shot -2 for his second straight round, good enough to move up four positions on the individual leaderboard into 10th place at -4 overall. The junior shot par on eight of nine front-nine holes, with a birdie coming on the par-5 second hole. He went on to shoot one-under on the back nine with back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14.
The Saints' biggest mover of the day came from freshman
KC Nickel, who improved 25 positions following an even-par performance Monday. Nickel shot five birdies in his round, increasing his total to a team-leading eight through 36 holes. Entering Tuesday, the rookie sits 74th overall at +5.
Nick Lyons and
Michael McConie each shot +4 Monday highlighted by two birdies each. Lyons' total score is +3 through 36 holes, while McConie is +8. Not counted towards team scores were
Dan Brooks, who shot +10 Monday with a tournament-leading second eagle on the par-5 14th hole, and
Connor Kiel, who shot +7.
The third and final round will begin at approximately 10 a.m. ET (8 a.m. MT) Tuesday.
