Siena Men's Golf began its second outing of its Spring 2025 season Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Spring Break Invitational from Eagle Harbor Golf Club in Fleming Island, FL. The Saints shot +12, 300 as a unit to go into the final 18 holes on Thursday in fourth place eight strokes behind the lead.
KC Nickel turned in another solid showing, shooting -2 (70) to enter Thursday alone in second place four strokes off the lead. The freshman shot par or better on each hole, highlighted by birdies on the par-5 second and 16th holes.
Michael McConie holed out at +2, 74 for a share of fifth as he and Nickel represented the Saints among top-10 leaders after day one.
Another Saint sits within the top-20 after 18 holes as
Gavin Crowley shot +4 to earn a share of 16th. His day was capped off by an eagle on the par-5 12th hole - aiding in an even 36 on the back nine.
Austin Giroux (+8) and
Nick Lyons (+9) also counted towards Siena's team score on the day - each entering Thursday top-35 individually in the field of 66.
The second and final round of the SHU Spring Break Invitational will begin Thursday morning.
