Siena Men's Golf continued its upward trend during the final day of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships as the team produced its lowest scored during the three-round tournament - shooting +9 over its final 18 holes to jump two positions into a share of eighth for a final score of +38 (304-301-297-902) from Disney's Magnolia Course in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
Michael McConie improved 12 positions Saturday to finish the tournament tied for 17th at +4 overall (73-76-71-220). The sophomore and 2025 All-MAAC Second Team selection came on strong in the final round, shooting -1 by way of -2 on the front nine, backed by four birdies. He had five total on the day.
Freshman
KC Nickel also made a significant jump, mimicking McConie in going up 12 spots on the individual leaderboard. Nickel tied for 25th in the field of 58 (76-76-73-225), producing his best round of the tournament at +1. After going four-over on the front nine, the rookie shot an impressive -3 on the back nine - highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 15th hole - to go with two birdies.
Nick Lyons improved six positions to 31st (78-74-75-227), shooting +3 Saturday.
Gavin Crowley went +6 on the final day, while
Austin Giroux - unmatched to the team score - shot +7 in his final round.
