LOUDONVILLE, NY — Siena Men's Golf begins its pursuit of a seventh Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship this week, traveling to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Orlando, FL for the 2026 MAAC Championships, held April 28–30. The Saints are set to tee off the first round at 10:15 a.m.
The championship returns to Disney for the 15th consecutive season dating back to 2011 and the 24th time overall since 2000. This year also marks the first time in league history that the men's and women's championships are contested separately, with the women's tournament taking place last week.
A six-time MAAC champion, Siena looks to build on recent success in Florida, having captured two of the last three conference titles in 2023 and 2024. Head coach
Steven Jensen has played a pivotal role in that success, leading the program to three MAAC crowns, including the 2016 title.
Sophomore
KC Nickel, a 2025-26 Second Team All-MAAC selection, enters the week as the Saints' top-ranked golfer (No. 1,221) and looks to build on his performance at last year's championship, where he posted the team's second-best finish (T-25, +9; 76-76-73). The Waunakee, WI native has compiled a 74.7 adjusted scoring average across 26 rounds this season, highlighted by a third-place finish at the Metropolis Intercollegiate. He has recorded eight rounds at par or better.
Despite featuring just one senior in 2024-25 All-MAAC selection
Austin Giroux, Siena brings considerable postseason experience. Junior
Michael McConie has been a consistent presence at the MAAC Championships, finishing inside the top 20 in each of his appearances, including a runner-up finish in 2024 that earned him MAAC Rookie of the Year honors.
Classmate
Gavin Crowley has also emerged as a key contributor, entering the championship with a career-best 75.5 adjusted scoring average. The junior made his MAAC Championships debut in 2025, posting two rounds in the 70s, and holds the third-highest national ranking on the team.
The MAAC champion will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals, scheduled for May 15–17.
