LOUDONVILLE, NY—Siena Men's Golf sophomore
KC Nickel has been selected to the 2025–26 All-MAAC Second Team, the league announced Monday ahead of this week's MAAC Championships in Orlando, FL.
Nickel, the Saints' top-ranked golfer (No. 1,221), garners his first career All-MAAC honor following an impressive sophomore campaign. The Waunakee, WI native posted a 74.7 adjusted scoring average across 26 rounds, highlighted by a third-place finish at the Metropolis Intercollegiate in the fall. He recorded eight rounds of par or better on the year, providing steady production at the top of Siena's lineup throughout the season.
In addition, five members of the program earned recognition on the MAAC All-Academic Team. Senior
Austin Giroux collected the honor for the third time in his career, while juniors
Gavin Crowley and
Michael McConie were each named for the second time. Sophomores
Michael Broeker and
Connor Kiel received the distinction for the first time. To be eligible, student-athletes must complete two semesters at their institution and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
Nickel and the Saints now turn their attention to the 2026 MAAC Men's Golf Championship, set for April 28–30 in Orlando. The event will once again be held at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course, marking the 15th consecutive season the championship has been contested at the venue and the 24th time overall since 2000.
