In its first taste of play in the Northeast this Spring, Siena Men's Golf returned to action for the first time in nearly three weeks Sunday, competing in the Abarta Coca-Cola hosted by Lafayette in Easton, PA. Through the opening 18 holes, the Saints are 11th of 16 teams at +19, 307.
Austin Giroux shot a team-best +2, 74 to finish the day in 22nd.
Nick Lyons finished three strokes behind Giroux, completing the day five-over and in 41st.
Dan Brooks and
Michael McConie rounded out team scoring, each finishing their round at +6.
KC Nickel came in at +9, while
Gavin Crowley competed independently and also shot nine-over.
Giroux, Lyons, Brooks, and McConie all had two birdies in their round, while Giroux and McConie shot an additional 12 pars - tied for the 11th most in the field of 101 golfers.
