LOUISVILLE, KY – Eight members from the 2024 Siena Softball roster were recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for their work in the classroom and on the field.
The NFCA's latest award honored 9,199 student athletes across all levels of high school and collegiate softball. Student athletes must be enrolled at their institution for one year and hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA to be eligible for NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete recognition. The program saw athletes honored for the eighth time in its history.
Recently-graduated
Alissa Eimont,
Ashley Giampolo and
Madi Silber each earned honors for the second time in their careers, while graduated senior
Kaycie Kennedy earned it for the first time in hers. Rising senior
Emma Petersen became a two-time honoree, while rising junior
Carlie Venables, and rising sophomores
Ashlee Sweet and
Gianna DiMeglio became first time recipients.
On the field, Siena recorded a program record 36 wins while reaching the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship Series for the third time in four seasons.
