LOUDONVILLE, NY—Championship season has arrived for Siena Swimming & Diving, as the Saints prepare to compete at the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships, Feb. 11–14, at the Spire Institute in Geneva, OH. With momentum built throughout the season and multiple contenders poised for podium finishes, Siena enters the meet looking to make its mark on the conference stage.

Siena heads into conference championship week after securing five dual-meet victories this season and earning a top-three finish at the ECAC Winter Championships (Dec. 5–7). Along the way, the Saints have collected several MAAC weekly honors, highlighted by two-time MAAC Rookie of the Week and MAAC Swimmer of the Week

Hope Ivanovich returns to the championships looking to defend her MAAC titles in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Last season, she set a MAAC Championships record in the 100 fly (54.49) and a program record in the 200 fly (2:01.80). Her victory in the 100 fly marked Siena's first individual swimming championship since 2011. Donlon also earned All-MAAC honors last year with a sixth-place finish on the 3-meter board (223.60).
Siena will send seven athletes into the meet with top-15 seed times. Donlon ranks fourth in the 3-meter (269.18) and seventh in the 1-meter (241.20), Samko is eighth in the 50 freestyle (23.86), Ivanovich is among the top seeds in the 100 fly (57.31),
GayLynn Kirn sits in the top 15 in the 200 freestyle (1:53.33),
Julia Filiault is 13th in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.61),
Julia Mihok is 14th in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.79), and
Skylar Ricard is 14th in the 200 butterfly (2:09.70).
The Saints also enter the championships with three relay units ranked among the top seven in the conference: the 200 freestyle relay (fifth – 1:37.09), 400 freestyle relay (sixth – 3:31.51), and 800 freestyle relay (seventh – 7:44.36).
Siena will look to build on last season's eighth-place finish (208 points), while Niagara enters the meet aiming to capture its third consecutive MAAC title.
