LOUDONVILLE, NY – Freshman third baseman
Scott Lynch earned the first MAAC weekly award of the 2026 season for the Siena Baseball team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Lynch, a native of Mechanicville, NY, turned in a strong week for the Saints, batting .333 (5-for-15) with four runs scored across four games.
The freshman delivered a key performance in the Saints' 11-inning 6-5 MAAC victory over the Fairfield Stags this past Friday, going 2-for-5 with two runs scored as Siena secured the extra-inning win.
Lynch followed that up with a three-hit day in game two with a walk in Siena's 7-6 win against the Stags.
Lynch also contributed steady defense at first base while providing timely offense during Siena's opening weekend of conference play as the Saints took two of three games for the series win.
Siena Baseball returns to the field to play at Stony Brook (2-11) on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
