Siena seniors Jodie Fiacco (Enicott, N.Y./Union Endicott) and Mary Buckheit (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire) have earned MAAC All-Academic honors for the 2001 school year. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete at least two semesters at their institution, be a significant contributor and hold a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

Pitcher/firstbase Jodie Fiacco is a biology major with a 3.71 GPA. Shortstop Mary Buckheit is a marketing and management major with a 3.55 GPA. This award marks the second time these two co-captains have been recognized by the MAAC for their efforts in the classroom. Fiacco and Buckheit will lead the team this spring when the Siena softball season begins in March.
