On Manning's Game-Tying 3-Pointer
They didn't run a play. Threw the ball to the 3-point shooter
On Edwin's Performance
I thought he was spectacular. We tried to go to him more today. I didn't think we went to him enough in the Rider game - that's my fault. We wanted to go to him today and establish him. And I think he clearly established himself as one of the premier players in this league.
On the Overtime Session
I thought the first two possessions we got great looks. The third one was forced, and after that we were down (seven points). Our defensive effort wasn't what it needed to be, and then we started trying to drive the ball because we needed to score quickly. And we drove it a couple times and took some open shots, but we had a small team out there, so we weren't getting any second (looks).
On the Defensive effort against Loyola's leading scorer Gerald Brown
I thought overall our defensive effort wasn't that bad. But we just can't continue (to be out-rebounded) 44-28 on the glass. We forced 19 turnovers and only turned it over five times - and in a 45 minutes game, five turnovers - that's tremendous. But we're just getting pounded on the glass. They're big and strong and experienced, but we just have to do better. We had a couple situations where we got a stop and couldn't get the ball. You look at second chance points and they beat us 16-8. Our game is fast break - and we have two fast break points. And it's hard for us to win like that.
On the team's lack of rebounding
I don't think you can look (at one player). It has to be a collective effort.
On what can be done to offset the lack of rebounding
That's how we've survived to this point. We don't turn it over and we usually get to the free throw line more than the opposition. (Loyola) gets to the free throw line and they're one of the top free throw shooting teams in the country. They go 25-27, on the road. But they do that all the time.
