Head Coach Tony Rossi
On What Happened
Everything clicked on all cylinders. I felt like we had a shot once I found out (Forman) was pitching against us, because as dominant as he has been, he has struggled with his control. Our hitters have been very patient, and that was the key today.
On Siena's Offense
This has been going on for five weeks and it hasn't really changed. The guys have been going up there very loose and making the pitchers work. We have gotten the job done one through nine in the batting order. You become a difficult team to stop when so many people are contributing.
On the Importance of Tomorrow's Winner's Bracket Game
It's extremely important to win at this stage and stay in the winners' bracket, because we don't have a deep staff. A victory tomorrow would mean we could wrap it up in three games which would be a huge lift mentally.
Senior Rick Seltzer
On whether he expected this outcome
We know we have a very talented offensive team and we have been coming together down the stretch. But I never would have thought we would score 24 runs, no.
On where the team goes from here
We don't have much time to celebrate, and we can't carry any of those runs over to tomorrow's game, so we need to put this behind us and stay focused on the task at hand.
On if Siena is the team to beat
There are four very talented teams in this Tournament. We feel like it is wide open and that we have as good a shot as anyone. We have obviously been playing our best baseball lately, so we are confident.
