Final Stats
The Siena softball team continued its struggles Saturday losing 6-4 to Kent State and 8-0 to host Radford in the Highlanders' Invitational Saturday. The Saints will look to get on track with two games against UAlbany to close Tournament play Sunday morning.
The Saints led their first game 4-3 before Kent State rallied with three runs in the sixth to account for the final margin.
Amanda Ferro started and worked into the sixth. She also collected two hits, drove in a run and scored.
Freshman Shannon Jones' two -run homer in the third tied the game at 3-3 and the Saints took the lead on Ferro's RBI single in the fourth.
Radford scored six runs in the first inning to take control of Siena's second game of the day. The Highlanders ended the game with two runs in the fifth. Four different Siena players hit safely.
The Saints fall to 2-10 on the season.
