Final Stats Game 1
Final Stats Game 2

Siena dominated the opener 9-2 and came from behind in game two to score twice in the bottom of the seventh and pull out a 3-2 victory. It was the first MAAC sweep of the season for the Saints who move to 4-6 in conference play and travel to Rider Sunday.

Game 1: Siena 9, Marist 2

Shannon Jones had three hits and six RBI, including her sixth home run of the season as Siena coasted to a 9-2 victory in the opener.

Amanda Filippazzo went the distance and allowed six hits and one earned run., She stranded 13 Marist base runners.

The Red Foxes scored both their runs in the first inning, taking advantage of two Siena errors.

Siena responded with a run in the first on an RBI ground out by Jones, and broke the game open with four runs in the second. Jessica Mushel and Sara Gallacchi each picked up RBI and Jones had the big hit with a two-run single up the middle.

The game remained 5-2 until the bottom of the sixth when the Saints again put up a six spot. Jones and Kirstyn Vaughn both went deep to highlight the rally which sealed the game.

Game 2: Siena 3, Marist 2

With one out, the bases loaded and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh, Jones grounded to second and Mushel beat the throw home to give Siena a come-from-behind win in their final at bat.

Marist again scored in the first inning, a run that held up until the bottom of the fourth when Gallacchi scored on a wild pitch.

Filippazzo then replaced starter Courtney Brinkman and kept the game tied until the seventh when the Red Foxes scored the go ahead run on a sharp double by Cat Malloy.

In the bottom of the seventh, Lindsey McKeever doubled to start the rally, but she was ruled out on interference on Vaughn's ensuing grounder to short. After pinch hitter Kayla Kaminsky was hit by a pitch, Amanda Ferro singled to load the bases. Pinch hitter Alyssa Sceppagurcio than had a bad hop single to third that tied the game and kept the bases loaded for Jones.

Ferro and McKeever each finished with two hits in the win for the Saints.
