Siena softball kicked off the 2011 Rebel Spring Games with a pair of victories on Sunday in Florida. The Saints defeated Colgate 3-2 and shut out Lafayette 4-0.
The first game featured a tight pitching duel, with the two sides combining for three runs in the first five innings (all unearned). Down 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Siena rallied, with Kayla Kaminsky driving in the tying run on a fielder's choice and Sara Gallacchi crossing the plate on a throwing error. Amanda Filippazzo threw two and one-third hitless innings of relief for the win after Courtney Brinkman left with a no-decision in the fifth.

Siena (5-4) will continue play in the Rebel Spring Games with contests against Eastern Illinois and Houston Baptist on Monday afternoon.
