Siena softball has now lost five of their last six after dropping two games Thursday at the Rebel Spring Games. The Saints are now 6-9 in 2011 following 5-4 and 6-3 losses to Youngstown State and Army.
The Saints saw a 4-3 lead slip away against Youngstown State, as the Guins plated two runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning to eke out the 5-4 decision. Shannon Jones was a perfect 3-for-3, and had an RBI and a run scored in the losing effort.
More information on the loss to Army is forthcoming.
Play continues Friday at the Rebel Spring Games with contests against Houston Baptist and Butler.
