POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Winners of three in a row, Siena Lacrosse opens its 16th season of MAAC competition Saturday afternoon here at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field. The Saints, which were picked first in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, battle Marist which was chosen second. The two rivals face-off in the conference opener for both teams at 3 p.m. and you can follow all the action through our Live Blog here at SienaSaints.com.
Siena (4-2) puts its 19-game MAAC regular season winning streak on the line today against a Marist (0-4) squad that is looking for its first win of the season. The Saints and Red Foxes meet for the 28th time with Siena holding a 16-12 edge in the all-time series. The Saints have won five in a row over Marist including a pair of victories last season.
