Logan Banek continued his dominance at the "X" position this past week as the New Hartford, NY native earned his fourth MAAC Face Off Specialist of the Week award this season, 10
th of his career and 15
th overall MAAC weekly award as announced by the conference office on Monday in a vote by the MAAC's sports information directors.
Siena Men's Lacrosse (9-2 overall, 5-0 MAAC) moved into first place all alone after earning a decisive 24-7 road victory at Iona this past Saturday.
Banek won 12 of 14 faceoffs (.857) with a team-high seven ground balls and scored a goal. Banek ranks first in the MAAC in ground balls per game (7.44) and is also number one in faceoff percentage (.685) with 100 wins against just 46 losses.
Siena is receiving votes in the latest KANE Men's Division I Media Poll and the USILA Coaches Media Poll and will return to the field Saturday, April 11 at 12 p.m. when it hosts Sacred Heart (10-1, 4-1 MAAC) at Hickey Field.
