Oct. 22, 2012

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Making just his second and third collegiate starts last week, Siena Men's Soccer red-shirt sophomore Adam Myers made the most of his opportunity. For his efforts, he has been named the MAAC's Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

The local product from Ballston Spa, N.Y. went 2-0 between the pipes for the Saints, earning victories over Niagara and Canisius. He tallied a 0.50 goals against average, .875 save percentage and made seven total saves.

On Friday, Myers made five saves to post his first career shutout against the previously undefeated Purple Eagles which were amongst teams receiving votes in the NSCAA Coaches' Poll. Sunday he added two more saves in the win over the Golden Griffins as the Saints maintained their first place tie in the MAAC Standings.

Myers and the Saints return to the pitch Saturday when they host Marist at 3 p.m. on Senior Day.
