Siena's Ryan Poplawski was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week Monday after tossing six strong innings in the Saints 6-3 upset of Conference USA foe Memphis Friday night.

Poplawski did not allow an earned run, and struck out eight batters. After sacrificing an unearned run in the first, Poplawski put up five straight zeroes, and did not allow a Memphis player to reach third base.

It marks the second time this season Siena has won the MAAC Pitcher of the Week Award. Junior Justin Brantley took home the league's first weekly honor.

The Saints begin MAAC play this weekend with a three-game set at Canisius.
