Oct. 17, 2016 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Soccer freshman Conor McGlynn picked up the MAAC Rookie of the Week award on Monday. This is McGlynn's first weekly award this season.
A native of Middle Village, New York McGlynn earns MAAC Rookie of the Week honors for the first time in his Siena career. He dished out a pair of assists in a perfect 2-0 week for the Saints. On Wednesday, against defending MAAC Regular Season Champions Monmouth, McGlynn dished out the game-winning assist to Junior Rosero who chipped it in for the game-winning goal. Against Saint Peter's he set up Rosero again to help set the tone for the eventual Senior Day victory. McGlynn now has six assists on the season, which is the most in the MAAC.
McGlynn and the Saints return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 19 as the program travels to Hamden, Connecticut to face Quinnipiac. Kick-off is set for 4 p.m.
