Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Siena Softball continued action at the Madeira Beach Invitational III in Madeira Beach, Florida Saturday afternoon, defeating Presbyterian, 4-1, before falling to Florida International, 11-1.

Facing off with the Blue Hose for the first time in program history, the Saints broke through on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second inning, with junior Patricia Kalesse lacing a single into right field to send home senior Jess Vollmer. PC would tie the game at 1 in the top of the fourth with a solo shot to center field, but senior Madysen Cossack would later reach on an error at first base in the home half of the inning, allowing junior Amanda Dodson to come home, making it a 2-1 ballgame after four innings. Siena added a pair of insurance runs two innings later, with Cossack hitting through the game into center field to plate Kalesse and freshman Sabrina Vargas. Junior Maddie McMahon (3-2) pitched her third complete game of the season in the win, fanning four and walking three in seven innings in the circle.

The Saints then took the field against FIU to conclude an evening doubleheader, conceding an early 3-0 lead to the Panthers in the top of the first. FIU would breaking the lead to nine during the next inning and never look back. Siena's lone run came off the bat of senior Lauren Sabihon, who launched her first home run of the season with two outs in the bottom of the third inning to make it 9-1. Florida International added a pair of insurance in each of the next two winnings and retired the side in order to end the game after five innings.

Following the split, the Saints will conclude play at the Madeira Beach Invitational III Sunday morning, taking on Florida A&M at 9:00 AM before facing Georgia Southern at 11:30 AM.
