BOSTON, MA – Siena's women's Indoor Track squad traveled east to Boston, Massachusetts to begin the team's competition weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Invite at Boston University Friday afternoon.
The Saints saw runners compete in five different events on the day, with teams from all across the country venturing to BU's nationally acclaimed Track & Tennis Center to race in the second of three indoor events that it will host this season.
Siena's action began in the women's 800-meter run, with junior Holly Bednarek placing 76th overall with a time of 2:22.75 and sophomore Olivia Durant following behind at 2:34.64.
Junior Allison Hill and Sophomore Julia Bryant were competitive in the women's 1000-meter run, with Hill placing 62nd with 3:07.51 and Bryant taking 69th after running 3:09.05.
Senior Anya Schmitt then represented the Green and Gold in the women's mile run, placing sixth in her heat after running a 5:34.51.
Five different Siena runners competed in the women's 3000-meter run later in the evening, with juniors Regina Rosati (10:11.47) and Monica Strain (10:12.89) placing 46th and 48th, respectively, to lead the way.
Finally, the night came to an end with six Saints racing in the women's 5000-meter run, with seniors Camryn Johnson (17:47.56) and Carolyn Pellegrini (17:51.81) coming in 32nd & 33rd to lead the pack.
Siena's men's indoor regime will head to Boston on Saturday, January 25 to take part in the Terrier Invite, with action beginning at 10:30 a.m.
