BOSTON, MA – Siena's Men's Indoor Track squad ventured to Boston, Massachusetts to conclude the team's competition weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Invite at Boston University Saturday afternoon.
The Saints saw runners compete in five different events in the nationally attended meet, which took place at the acclaimed Track & Tennis Center at Boston University.
Junior Ryan Holland kicked off the team's competition in the men's 800-meter run, placing 49th overall with a time of 1:55.90.
Senior Matt Jacques (2:35.98) and freshman Nathan Poirier (2:38.04) followed suit in the men's 1000-meter run, placing 46th and 56th, respectively in the crowded slate.
The men's one-mile run featured a trio of Siena entrants, with junior Jacob Greski (4:20.36) leading the way.
Freshmen Aidan Gillooley (8:29.88) and Brandon Olden (8:41.29) each won their heats in the men's 3000-meter run, with Gillooley pacing the Green and Gold by finishing 58th overall.
Finally, sophomore Owen Walker registered the team's best overall finish of the meet, taking first in his heat and 38th overall in the men's 5000-meter run with a time of 15:05.81. Senior Aidan Canavan (15:20.30) and freshman Peter Alden (15:15.29) followed behind in the event.
Following the conclusion of both teams taking part in the Terrier Invite, Siena will turn its attention to Cornell's Kane Invitational, which will take place on Saturday, February 1 at 10 AM in Ithaca, NY.
