LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Outdoor Track continued its 2022 season with select runners competing at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational in New Jersey, while others ran at the Black and Gold Invite hosted by Bryant in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
The prestigious invite at Princeton featured a number of Siena competitors climbing the program's record books, including senior
Olivia Lomascolo, who moved into second all-time with a personal best time of 4:26.62 in the women's 1,500. Sophomore
Killian McNamee finished tenth on the men's side with a mark of 3:54.31, while junior
Matthew Laframboise ran a time of 4:00.35.
Junior
Aidan Gillooley won his section of the men's 5,000-meter race with the fourth-fastest time in program history at 14:28.10, while freshman
Jackson Cayward placed sixth overall with a mark of 14:37.75. The Saints also placed competitors in the women's 5,000, with graduate student
Regina Rosati leading the way with a time of 17:01.85 to finish sixth. Junior
Delia McDade Clay placed ninth at 17:17.10, while classmate
Elaine Atanasova finished tenth with a time of 17:18.54.
The Black & Gold Invite at Bryant featured a number of solid Siena performances, beginning with the 1,500. Sophomore
Griffin Cooke ran a time of 4:06.14, while freshman
Nathaniel Sletten clocked a 4:07.62, and freshman
Kayla Schmidt placed 14
th with a 4:58.37 in the women's race.
The 5,000 saw a number of Siena performers take part, including graduate student
Stosh Davis, who placed third with a tome of 15:30.15. Sophomore
Ben Guerin took fifth at 5:31.65, while freshman
Collin Clinton ran seventh at 15:44.25 and sophomore
Jimmy Smith finished ninth with a time of 16:02.30. Sophomore
Miranda Gilbert led the way in the women's race, finishing fourth with a time of 19:00.39. Junior
Peter Alden finished second on the men's side in the 10,000 with a time of 32:19.06, while classmate
Christopher Adamski placed fifth with a personal best time of 33:23.39.
The women's 800 featured Siena freshman
Claire Gardner, who finished seventh with a time of 2:17.15, and sophomore
Jennifer McClintock, who took ninth at 2:20.90. The men's 4x800 team of Sletten, freshman
Noah Greski, freshman
Chris Bertola, and Cooke finished third with a time of 8:00.79.
Siena will next head to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to take part in the Bucknell Outdoor Classic April 15-16.
