WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Siena Outdoor Track continued postseason action by opening up competition at the 2022 ECAC/Ic4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Williamsburg, Virginia Friday. The day was highlighted by a pair of Saints setting new school records.

Junior
Brandon Olden locked up his fourth program record, while classmate
Tommy Anderson re-set a record that he claimed 29 days ago. Olden recorded the program record in the men's 1,500 by finishing fourth with a time of 3:46.61, an improvement of nearly two seconds from the previous record held by program great
Evans Kibet since 2018. Anderson took third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:59.39 to improve on his previous record-setting mark by 26 hundredths of a second.

The Green and Gold also featured junior
Matthew Laframboise take part in the 1,500 by running the fourth-fastest time in school history at 3:51.86. Sophomore
Tom Ragone also recorded a personal best with a time of 3:55.85. Senior
Olivia Lomascolo placed sixth in the women's 1,500 with a time of 4:25.27, while junior
Delia McDade Clay moved into third on the program all-time list with a time of 4:30.36.

Freshman
Julia Caputo also got her name in the Siena record books for the fastest 3,000 run by a freshman with a time of 10:15.33. Classmate
Christina Peppy recorded a time of 10:46.47. Joining Anderson in the men's steeplechase were freshman
Jackson Cayward – who placed sixth with a time of 9:15.77 – and junior
Nathan Poirier – who ran a time of 10:03.48. Freshman
Kayla Schmidt ran a time of 10:23.73 in the women's steeplechase, while sophomore
Katharine Hesler went for 11:41.87.

Siena also featured competitors in both the 5,000 and 10,000, with junior
Aidan Gillooley placing 14
th with a time of 14:37.40 and graduate student
Aidan Canavan going for 15:32.92 in the men's 5k. Graduate student
Regina Rosati placed sixth in the women's 5k with a time of 17:11.27, while junior
Elaine Atanasova ran a 5k time of 17:43.50.
