LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Soccer Head Coach Graciano Brito added a transfer to conclude a week of incoming signing announcements on Friday. Goalkeeper Niko Zagar will join the Saints next season following a year at the NCAA Division II level.
"Niko will be a great addition to our family," Brito said. "As a transfer, he will add some experience to our goalkeeping position. We are thrilled to have him."
Zagar spent the 2021 season at Salem University in Salem, West Virginia, playing in nine matches and logging 702 minutes in-goal. The East York, Ontario native made 39 saves and held a 2.31 goals-against-average. Zagar attended East York Collegiate Institute for high school and played club ball for the East York Soccer Club.
The incoming sophomore will join a squad that expects to return 25 letterwinners from last season, and will look to build on its best performance since 2016.
