EDISON, NJ – Siena Men's Soccer will aim for its fourth straight MAAC postseason appearance in as many years under head coach Graciano Brito entering the 2023 season. The Saints were selected fourth in the annual MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll and featured one All-Conference player on the Preseason All-MAAC squad, the league announced Wednesday morning.

A two-time All-MAAC honoree and First Team selected in 2022, rising junior defender Henrik Winkelmann was named a Preseason All-MAAC selection.

Defending MAAC champions Quinnipiac took home the top spot in the poll with 119 total votes and nine of 11 first place ballots. Iona followed with 103 votes, while Manhattan finished third with 99 votes and the remaining two first place ballots.

Siena edged Fairfield by one vote with 74, while the Stags' 73 votes to place fifth to finish one vote ahead of sixth-place Marist (72). The poll was rounded out by Niagara (69), Rider (37), Mount St. Mary's (36), Saint Peter's (29), and Canisius (15).

Quinnipiac's Brage Aasen was honored as the 2023 MAAC Preseason Player of the Year.

Boasting 18 returning letterwinners from last season and ten newcomers, Siena will look to build off a 8-5-6 mark and a fifth-place conference finish in 2022.
