After three top ten performance times and solid showings across the board at the ECAC Winter Championships, Siena Swimming & Diving freshman Clara Samko was voted as this week's Jersey Mike's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. 
 
Samko clocked three top ten performance times over the three-day ECAC Winter Championships this past weekend. Her first came in the 50 free, where she finished in 23.86 for fourth all time, as well as fifth in the event. She then took 10th in the 100 fly in 58.68—good enough for eighth on the list. Her final top ten time came on Sunday in the 100 free, where she clocked 52.79 in the prelims before finishing 11th in 52.86. 
 
Samko went on to also clock 1:58.31 in the 200 free finals (21st). She also aided in a fourth-place 400 free relay team (3:31.51), a fifth-place 200 free relay team (1:37.09) with the fastest split (23.66), a sixth-place 200 medley relay team (1:47.31), and a seventh-place 400 medley relay team (3:56.78).
