The Saints have enjoyed seven dual meet victories this season, four of which coming against MAAC opponents, with the season highlighted by the program's first victory at the ECAC Winter Championship since the 2015-16 season. There, Davenport was pinned coach of the meet, and a pair of program records fell.
Two said records were set by sophomore
Hope Ivanovich - who broke the 100 fly mark in 55.02 before going on to break her own 200 fly mark with a time of 2:05.04.
GayLynn Kirn also set the new standard in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.74. In all this season, the Green and Gold have enjoyed 21 top-10 performance marks.
Siena enters the 12-team field with top-five seed times in the 200 and 400 fee relays. Individually, Ivanovich has the top-times in both the 100 fly (55.02) and 200 fly (2:05.04), while
Leslie Dame is 11th (57.86) in the 100 across 59 entries.
Shaylea Triller (5th, 23.98) and
Mya Reed (14th, 24.27) own top-15 seed times in the 50 free among 98 competitors. Triller is also third in the 100 free (51.97). In the 200 free, Kirn is seeded sixth with a top-time this season of 1:52.73, while Triller (1:54.41) and
Natalie Blume (1:54.42) are also in the top-15.
Olivia Martin enters MAAC's seeded 11th in the 100 breast with a mark of 1:05.19.
Last season, the Saints set four school records at MAAC Championships with the 800 free and 200 free relay teams, Martin in the 100 breast, and Ivanovich in the 200 fly. The Green and Gold also accomplished nine All-MAAC finishes, and 12 MAAC Finalist finishes last season.
The Saints captured MAAC weekly honors eight different times - led by two-time MAAC Diver of the Week,
Sydney Murray, and two-time MAAC Swimmer of the Week,
GayLynn Kirn.
Claire Donlon and
Jenna Wyner also enjoyed a MAAC Diver of the Week accolade, while Ivanovich and Triller were pinned MAAX Swimmer of the Week once.
Siena looks to improve upon its seventh-place finish at the MAAC Championships last season (303.5 points), the program's highest team score since 2016, while Niagara looks to defend its 2024 crown.
