Siena Women's Golf capped off the middle round of the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships Friday from Disney's Magnolia Course in Lake Buena Vista, FL, shooting +15 in the second round of action. Through 36 holes, the Saints are fourth in the field of eight at +30 (303-303-606).
Jillian Barend shot even on day two to climb into a share of fourth at +4 (76-72-148). Freshman
Julia Kret was impressive with a +1 showing to jump into 10th at +6 (77-73-150).
Mackenzie Whitney shot six-over Friday and enters the final round tied for 16th at +9 (75-78-153).
Emely Kintzel finished her second round at +8, and is tied for 20th at +11 (75-80-155).
The Saints were +11 over the front nine, led by Whitney shooting even through eight, until a bogey on nine left her one-over through nine. Barend (+2), and Kret (+3) also kept pace over the front nine. Kintzel produced the team's lone birdie over the first nine holes, and entered the back nine at +2.
Backed by an eagle on 15, and birdies on 14 and 17, Kret finished her back nine at -2. Barend sank four birdies to also shoot -2 on the back nine. Whitney came in at +5 on her back nine, while Kintzel was +6.
Unattached to the team score,
Isabella Silva finished the day at +19, 91.
The third and final round of the MAAC Championships tee off Saturday morning.
