LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Soccer Head Coach
Graciano Brito has announced the addition of midfielder Lucas Horja to the Saints' roster for the upcoming season. A local product from Guilderland, NY, Horja joins Siena after spending the 2025 season at FDU.
"We are very excited to welcome Lucas to our program," said Brito. "It's always important for us to recruit local players who can help our program continue to grow. Lucas has followed our team for years and always dreamed of playing for Siena. Making that dream a reality is something we're very proud of. He is a dynamic player with great quality, and we're excited to welcome him and his family to the Siena soccer family."
Horja returns to the Capital Region after a standout youth career that included time with some of the top developmental programs in the area and beyond. The midfielder attended Guilderland High School, where he helped lead the program to AA sectional, regional, and state finalist appearances.
Prior to college, Horja spent over four years with Hartford Athletic Academy and competed at the MLS NEXT level with Oakwood Soccer Club during the 2024-25 season. He finished as Oakwood's top goal scorer across the combined fall and spring campaigns.
Horja also gained international experience, training in Romania with League 2 side CSM Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț.
Horja spent his freshman season at FDU in 2025 but did not appear in a match. The midfielder will look to bring his technical ability, attacking experience, and familiarity with the Capital Region to the Saints' midfield.
Horja becomes the latest addition to a Siena program coming off a historic season that saw the Saints capture their first-ever conference championship and earn the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.
