LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena College athletic department and Amtrak are teaming up to create a fun day for young fans to spend with Siena student athletes. The Spring Sports Festival will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 11-4pm.
There will be a carnival in the MAC which will provide an opportunity for fans to get to know Siena student athletes from many of the Saints' 18 Division I sports. Fans will be treated to root beer floats, hot dogs, pizza, cookies, face painting, Radio Disney Dance Dance Revolution, and much more. Fans can enjoy activities and watch the team competing with the student athlete of their choice.
The event is FREE for Lil' Saints Club members, St. Casmir students and Boys and Girls Club members. The day will be filled with carnival games and prizes in addition to the three sporting events taking place on campus. Siena's baseball, men's lacrosse and softball teams will be in action.
During the festival, prizes will be distributed to fans at each sporting event.
The baseball team kicks off the day with a double header against Rider at 12 pm, followed by the men's lacrosse team taking on St. Josephs and the softball team playing Iona at 1 pm.
