LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena men's lacrosse will support Coaches vs. Cancer in its home game against Wagner this Saturday, April 4 at 2 p.m. Proceeds from a 50/50 raffle will be donated to the American Cancer Society and the Saints will make a donation for every goal scored.
The Saints have always been active members in the community and this season is no different. On January 25, the team volunteered for the fourth straight year at the Center for Disability Services Telethon in Albany. Players worked the phones and helped bring in a record $1,876,314. Captains Kenny Mazzone, Chris Viviano and Dan Mulhall donated a $500 check on behalf of the team to the Center.
On March 21, the Saints played a neutral site game against Hartford in West Islip, N.Y. to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All ticket and program sales totaled $2,600.
The team made a $500 donation to the HEADstrong Foundation in support of cancer research before the season. The team will wear green laces all season to show their support.
