LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena men's lacrosse won all three MAAC weekly awards Monday afternoon as announced by the league office. Senior midfielder Kenny Mazzone won Offensive Player of the Week, junior goalie Brent Herbst earned Defensive Player of the Week and freshman attackman Bryan Neufeld took home his fifth Rookie of the Week award of the season (2/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/20, 4/27).

Mazzone (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) averaged four points/game in two Siena wins this past week. He tallied three assists (including on the eventual game winner) in a 13-7 win at Marist that clinched the MAAC regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the tournament and then scored three goals and added two assists in the regular season finale at Providence. Mazzone scored the 1-1 and 3-3 tying goals and assisted on the game winner to Neufeld in the fourth quarter.

Herbst (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview JFK) had a 6.00 GAA and a .636 save percentage earning both wins this past week. He made 11 saves at Marist and 10 saves at Providence, facing 55 total shots on the week. This is his second Defensive Player of the Week award this season (3/16 and 4/27).

Neufeld (Virgil, Ontario/Niagara District) averaged three points and two goals per game this past week. He scored three goals and had one assist at Marist and scored the game winner and added an assist at Providence. Neufeld leads the league with four game winning goals and ranks second with 33 goals and 45 points.

The men's lacrosse team enters the MAAC Tournament with a 10-5 overall record (8-0 in the MAAC) and is receiving votes in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association coaches poll for the first time this season. The No. 1 seeded Saints face No. 4 Providence in the semifinals this Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Buffalo, N.Y.
