Lauren Weingart hit a line drive over the centerfield fence in the bottom of the seventh to give the Saints a 2-1 walk-off victory over Fairfield in game one of Thursday's twinbill at Siena Field. In game two Sarah Minice tossed a no-hitter and the Stags scored all three of their runs in the seventh as they earned a 3-0 victory and the split.

In the opener, Fairfield (14-17, 5-1) got on the board first in the top of the fifth on Meghan Borst's RBI groundout to take a 1-0 lead, but Siena (7-16, 2-2) came right back to tie it up when Kristen Borsella scored on a wild pitch in the bottom half of the fifth.

Then Weingart came to the plate in the bottom of the seventh and took the first pitch she saw over the fence to give the Saints a dramatic 2-1 victory.

Amanda Filippazzo (3-7) picked up the win for Siena tossing a complete game, giving up one run on six hits while striking out six.

Minice was the hard luck loser for the Stags in game one, giving up just two hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out three in six-plus innings of work.

In the nightcap, Minice came back even stronger and tossed a no-hitter, allowing just two walks and striking out nine for her 11th victory of the season and the split.

Saints starter Courtney Brinkman (3-5) pitched six strong innings but could not get out of the seventh after Dani Griswold's RBI double and a two-run home run from Borst gave the Stags a 3-0 lead.

The Saints had a chance in the sixth after Stacie Sueda and Jenny McNulty reached on errors and Siena had runners at first and second with one out but Minice slammed the door on the Saints, striking out Olivia Calcagnini and getting Weingart to ground out to end the inning and the threat.

Griswold, Borst and Kristie Trifiolis each picked up two hits in game two for Fairfield.

Siena will travel to Marist on Saturday for a MAAC matchup with the Red Foxes at 12 p.m.
